Some members of San Jose, California-based Tech Credit Union may be enjoying a little extra wine during the holidays this year, thanks to a new partnership between the credit union and wine-delivery company Revel Wine.
The partnership creates a new perk for members and connect Novato, California-based Revel Wine with the credit union's membership base, the credit union said in an announcement.
"Tech CU has signed a one-year exclusivity agreement with Revel Wine to offer unique benefits to our members. For example, we plan on offering a gift card toward a Revel Wine purchase when a member chooses to open up a CD with Tech CU, etc.," a Tech CU spokesperson told CU Times.
"While our main focus is offering exceptional financial services to our members, we also recognize that they have lives outside of banking. This partnership acknowledges our goal of offering lifestyle perks as well. Revel Wine has a wide range of award-winning brands that can be delivered to our members. We hope our members will enjoy this perk," Tech CU CEO Todd Harris said in an announcement.
"Revel will not have access to Tech CU's member base or list. Tech CU will reach out to potentially interested members about Revel Wine when it makes sense," a spokesperson added.
Tech Credit Union has $2.7 billion in assets and about 108,000 members.
"Tech CU has an outstanding reputation and has demonstrated a commitment to providing its members with exceptional financial services, as well as unique offerings to enhance their rich and varied lifestyles," Revel Wine COO Oliver Colvin said. "Given Tech CU's geographical location and its commitment to enhancing members' lifestyles, partnering seemed ideal. After all, everything goes better with wine!"
Revel Wine features wines from eight winemakers around the world.
