Eight credit unions announce new hires and appointments this week.

Eight credit unions across the nation are beginning the Fourth of July holiday week with new talent on their staff. Check out the latest People news here.

WEST

The $275 million Cabrillo Credit Union in San Diego appointed Anne McClure as CEO. McClure was appointed as Cabrillo’s interim CEO in May 2018 after working as the credit union’s COO. Prior to her time as COO, she was SVP of human resources and compliance and was responsible for hiring, training and ensuring governmental compliance. McClure began her career with Cabrillo in 1992 as vice president of marketing and has worked in the banking industry since 1989. As CEO, she will lead a staff of 70 employees and an executive staff of four.

EAST

Alicia Punkosdy

The $4.7 billion Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., hired Alicia Punkosdy as a business loan officer. Punkosdy has more than 20 years of experience in commercial lending, portfolio management, business development, coaching, mentoring and retail branch management. She will concentrate on helping business members at the credit union’s branches in Hyde Park, Pleasant Valley, LaGrange, Poughkeepsie and Arlington.

Christopher Ercole

The $3 billion Tower Federal Credit Union in Laurel, Md., hired Christopher Ercole as vice president of consumer lending. Ercole brings more than 24 years of experience in lending. In his new position, he will manage Tower’s growing consumer lending division and oversee the credit union’s personal, auto and credit card loan product offerings. Ercole comes to Tower from the $413 million Signal Financial Credit Union in Kensington, Md., where he was SVP of lending. During his time there, Ercole rolled out a suite of three new credit cards, including a credit union-wide member loyalty rewards program.

MIDWEST

Michael Dill

The $2.2 billion Royal Credit Union in Eau Claire, Wis., named Michael Dill EVP-chief lending officer. In this role, Dill will be responsible for strategic oversight of Royal’s consumer, real estate and business loan portfolio and identifying future growth opportunities. As a member of Royal’s executive management team, Dill will participate in making key organizational decisions and planning the strategic direction of the credit union. Dill has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Brant Gustafson

The $1.2 billion Firefly Credit Union in Burnsville, Minn., hired Brant Gustafson as Fridley retail sales manager. In his new role, Gustafson will lead the Fridley branch in living out Firefly’s core values to provide the highest level of service to its membership. Gustafson comes to Firefly with 20 years of experience in the financial industry, working as a sales manager and a branch manager for other financial institutions in Minnesota.

The $2.6 billion United Federal Credit Union in St. Joseph, Mich., hired two employees.

Steven Juodawlkis

Steven Juodawlkis was hired as director of product management. He brings more than 25 years of banking experience to the team. In his role as director of product management, Juodawlkis will be responsible for the strategy for UFCU’s deposit, card, consumer loan and ancillary products. He will establish a roadmap for these products and services based on member need, market conditions and organizational goals.

Meredith Williams

Meredith Williams was hired as market vice president of Nevada. In her new role, she will be responsible for creating and maintaining a business plan for the Nevada market and translating corporate strategic objectives into efficient and effective sales, service and business development initiatives. Williams comes to UFCU with more than 22 years of financial service industry experience in the Reno and Carson City, Nev., communities. Over the last seven years, she served as district manager at U.S. Bank in Reno, leading a large network of 12 branches.

SOUTH

Christopher Patron

The $495 million BrightStar Credit Union in Sunrise, Fla., hired Christopher Patron as business development officer. Patron will be responsible for expanding and identifying new business opportunities in Broward County, as well as developing partnerships in target markets while conducting analysis on financial data, company reports and business strategies to increase revenue. He is a seasoned business development executive with eight years of experience in the banking and finance industry and has served in various leadership positions throughout South Florida.

Bill Beatty

The $1.1. billion Y-12 Federal Credit Union in Oak Ridge, Tenn., hired Bill Beatty as director, remote member services and call center. He will be responsible for managing the contact center, and the personal teller machine teams. Beatty previously worked for Conduent BPO, Bank of America and CertusBank and has more than 20 years of experience in the contact center and financial services industries. Beatty received his bachelor of arts in business administration and master of business administration in management from Charter University.
