New CU Awareness Program Announced at ACUC
The $100 million "Open Your Eyes to a Credit Union" program to launch next year.
On Friday, during the general session of America’s Credit Union Conference (ACUC) in Boston, Mass., CUNA announced the launch of a new credit union awareness program.
CUNA’s President/CEO Jim Nussle laid out some specifics of the “Open Your Eyes to a Credit Union” program, which is part of a $100 million marketing initiative over the next three years.
“The future of our movement depends on more Americans than ever opening their eyes to everything a credit union offers them,” said Nussle.
He continued, “By leveraging modern digital media tools to reach the right consumers at the right time, we’ll create a fresh image for credit unions and challenge their assumptions about who we are and what we do. When they open their eyes to a credit union, they’ll be pleased by what they see.”
The program is expected to launch in January 2019.
CUNA describes the “Open Your Eyes to a Credit Union” program as an industry-wide initiative to increase consumer consideration of the industry. Based on data-driven research conducted by CUNA, the engaging creative campaign will position credit unions as America’s preferred financial services provider.
CU Times will have more on this program, as well as our one-on-one interview with Nussle at ACUC.
