The National Credit Union Administration said Friday it banned two former credit union employees from participating in the affairs of any federally insured financial institution.

James Roy Entzminger, a former teller of the $60 million Banner Federal Credit Union in Phoenix, Ariz., pleaded guilty to embezzlement in May. In a plea agreement, he admitted to stealing money from 11 member accounts. A U.S. District Court judge in Phoenix sentenced Entzminger to 15 months in prison and five years of supervised release. He was ordered to pay restitution of $621,937.

Amanda Marie Renis, a former employee of the $174 million Preferred Credit Union in Grand Rapids, Mich., pleaded guilty to embezzlement in December 2016 in a state court, according to the NCUA. In its prohibition notice, the independent federal agency did not report how much money Renis stole.
