The $2.8 billion UNIFY Financial Credit Union in Torrance, Calif., said Tuesday that it is the official credit union of the Los Angeles Rams after signing an exclusive multi-year partnership with the NFL team.

The deal’s financial terms were not disclosed.

The partnership means the players and employees of the Rams organization will become the credit union’s newest select employer group. UNIFY serves more than 235,000 members from various SEGs throughout California and the nation.

In addition, the partnership also provides UNIFY with prominent in-season signage at the 77,500-seat Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, as well as co-branded digital content and promotions, integration with the team’s media content, and a variety of year-round joint member, community and marketing programs.

“This partnership represents a true alignment of the vision and values of both our brands,” said UNIFY President/CEO Gordon Howe. “With shared Los Angeles roots reaching back to the 1940s, UNIFY and the Rams are both local institutions committed to giving back and supporting the people and businesses in the community.”

UNIFY members who are Rams fans will also see benefits of the partnership through special programs and promotions. Plans include Rams ticket and merchandise giveaways and events with the team’s players, cheerleaders and mascots at UNIFY’s retail branch locations throughout the Los Angeles area.

The partnership will also open opportunities for the credit union to reach the Rams fan base via branded activity space at Rams Training Camp at the University of California in Irvine and other preseason activities such as co-branded member promotions, participation in special Rams fan events, broadcast and print advertising, and other joint marketing activities.

What’s more, UNIFY and the Rams will collaborate on ways to make a positive difference in their shared Los Angeles community through a series of joint service initiatives, including local outreach events and hands-on support projects.
