CU executives see bright career paths ahead.

This past week across the nation, seven credit unions hired new employees or promoted existing employees. In addition, one credit union mourned the passing of a board member.

WEST

Kathleen Courtney

The $935 million Bay Federal Credit Union in Capitola, Calif., hired Kathleen Courtney as assistant vice president/branch manager of its Scotts Valley Branch. Courtney has 23 years of experience in everything from mortgage and small business lending to commercial and international banking. In her new role, Courtney will provide leadership and direction for the Scotts Valley Branch.

 

Davina Napier

The $1 billion Credit Union 1 in Anchorage, Alaska promoted Davina Napier from SVP of lending to chief lending officer. Napier has more than 20 years of lending experience in Alaska, and has held a multitude of past lending positions within Credit Union 1. In her new position, Napier will be responsible for the credit union's overall lending initiatives, including its consumer loans, real estate and member assistance departments.

EAST

C. Richard Wagner

The $2.6 billion Municipal Credit Union in New York, N.Y., is announced the sudden passing of C. Richard Wagner, a member of MCU's board of directors and a former member of MCU's supervisory committee. Wagner dedicated more than three decades of his life to serving MCU. He was committed to the credit union movement and was active at the city, state and federal levels.

The $1.3 billion Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union in Lowell, Mass., promoted two employees.

Maura Clark

Maura Clark was promoted to assistant vice president – regional branch manager. Clark has 28 years of experience working in the banking industry. She began her career at Jeanne D'Arc CU in 2005. In her new role, she will continue to directly manage the Lowell branch, while also overseeing the day-to-day operations and staff of the Methuen and Tyngsboro branch locations.

 

Judy McCullough

Judy McCullough was promoted to assistant treasurer – branch manager. McCullough joined Jeanne D'Arc CU in 2001 as a member service representative. She worked her way up to hold positions including senior member service representative, member service supervisor and assistant branch manager. After serving as assistant branch manager at various branches for nearly nine years, she stepped into the position of interim branch manager. She will now take on the duty of being the branch's permanent manager.

The $833 million St. Mary's Credit Union in Marlborough, Mass., promoted four credit union employees.

Sherrie LeBoeuf

Sherrie L. LeBoeuf was promoted to SVP, human resources. LeBoeuf joined St. Mary's CU in 2005 as a human resources generalist. She oversees all human resource functions including recruiting, compensation and benefits, and employee relations.

 

 

Sarah Day

Sarah A. Day was promoted to vice president, commercial loan officer. She joined the credit union in 2005 as a marketing manager and transitioned to the commercial lending team in 2013, where she specializes in commercial mortgages, vehicle and equipment lending, and commercial lines of credit.

 

 

Armand Fernandez

Armand A. Fernandez was promoted to vice president, senior small business loan officer. He joined St Mary's CU in 2013 as vice president, small business lending. Fernandez manages the credit union's small business lending and is responsible for the credit union's designation by the Small Business Administration as the Credit Union of the Year in Massachusetts for the past three years.

 

Christine Monteiro

Christine G. Monteiro was promoted to vice president, market manager. Monteiro joined St. Mary's CU in 2004 as branch manager for the credit union's Hudson branch. She currently oversees multiple branch offices and is responsible for the credit union's business deposit efforts.

MIDWEST

Warren Pattison

The $2.6 billion United Federal Credit Union in St. Joseph, Mich., appointed Warren Pattison to director of digital strategy. In this position, he will be responsible for the delivery of the credit union's digital journey, ensuring a unified member experience across all digital channels. He will provide strategy for all of UFCU's digital products and online service delivery initiatives like online banking, digital payments and mobile apps as well as future offerings such as contextual PFM, biometrics, digital wallets and virtual banking. Pattison will also lead all of the credit union's digital marketing initiatives.

Oksana Kushneryk

The $1.3 billion TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union in Plymouth, Minn., promoted Oksana Kushneryk to branch manager at its Oakdale, Minn., location. Having previously served as a TruStone Financial assistant branch manager, Kushneryk's relationships within the community will help advance the branch's presence in her new management role. Kushneryk has worked in the credit union industry since 2006. In 2017 she was named assistant branch manager of TruStone Financial's newest location in Oakdale.

Ryan Lee

The $545 million Crane Credit Union in Odon, Ind., promoted Ryan Lee to vice president of operations. Lee has 30 years of management and lending experience in the financial services industry. He joined Crane in September 2009 as branch manager of the Terre Haute Branch and was promoted to regional manager in July 2010.
