Merit Marketing in Harrisburg, Pa., said it acquired the Portland, Ore.-based communications firm LT Public Relations, which for more than a decade served credit unions and other industry organizations.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
LTPR President Casey Boggs was named president of communications at Merit Marketing. Most of LTPR's employees joined the merged firm, and they will continue to work from the Portland office.

"Merging with Merit was a logical decision as it allows us to expand the services we can offer our clients to Portland and throughout the west coast."
The LTPR acquisition will strengthen Merit's core service offerings and public relations capabilities in corporate communications, media relations, social media, executive training and crisis management.
