Linda Armyn, SVP of corporate affairs at the $7.7 billion Bethpage Federal Credit Union in Bethpage, N.Y., was recently honored by the YMCA of Long Island at their annual "Diamonds & Burlap" benefit. Armyn and Bethpage were honored for their great commitment and continued support of the YMCA of Long Island. Armyn has served on the board of directors at the YMCA of Long Island since 2003 and recently completed her tenure as chair in July 2017, a position she has held since 2014.

The $921 million Consumers Credit Union in Kalamazoo, Mich., hired one employee and promoted another.

Mark Candey was hired as mortgage loan officer at the 9th Street office in Kalamazoo. Candey has more than 24 of financial experience. Prior to joining Consumers, he worked at large financial institutions. He brings experience in all aspects of mortgage lending, including processing, underwriting and closing.

Mitch Vrooman was promoted to mortgage loan officer. Vrooman has worked at Consumers for nearly three years in a retail role prior to transitioning into the mortgage department to offer additional support to the team.

The $3.4 billion Veridian Credit Union in Waterloo, Iowa, hired two employees and promoted four others.

Christi Hulme was promoted to vice president of the member contact center. Hulme, a resident of Traer, has worked at Veridian for 22 years. She was previously manager of the member contact center. Hulme has a degree in business administration from Upper Iowa University.

Areli Solorio was promoted to community relations coordinator. Solorio, a resident of Bellevue, Iowa, started working at Veridian in March. She was previously a member service representative. Solorio has a business administration degree with an emphasis in finance and banking from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Anne Britson was promoted to member experience team lead. Britson, a resident of Hudson, has worked at Veridian for 12 years. She was previously a strategic research specialist. Britson has a bachelor's degree in marketing and Spanish from the University of Northern Iowa. She also has a master's degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing research.

Amy Woods was promoted to integration analyst. Woods, a resident of Hudson, has worked at Veridian for nine years. She was previously an eServices specialist. Woods has a degree in communication studies from the University of Northern Iowa.

Staci Duffy was hired as mortgage lending operations supervisor. Duffy, a resident of Cedar Falls, Iowa, was a mortgage banking officer at BankIowa prior to joining Veridian.

Brian D. Campbell was hired as PC specialist. Prior to joining Veridian, Campbell, a resident of Omaha, was a SharePoint developer at McCallie and Associates.

The $998 million SPIRE Credit Union based in Falcon Heights, Minn., promoted two employees.

Mary Vonch was promoted to Princeton branch manager. She joined the credit union in 2013 as a member services representative. She has also worked as a financial services officer and assistant branch manager. A nearly 20-year financial services industry veteran, she worked in mortgage/consumer lending and personal banking prior to joining SPIRE.

Tyler Roelofs was promoted to Princeton assistant branch manager. He began his career with SPIRE in 2012 as a member services officer. Tyler holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from North Central University.

The $2.3 Robins Financial Credit Union in Warner Robins, Ga., hired two employees.

John McMath was hired as branch manager. McMath has worked in the banking industry for the past 13 years. McMath has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Georgia Southwestern.

James Schoepf II was hired as information technology manager. Schoepf has worked in the information technology field for the past five years. Schoepf has a bachelor's of science in information technology from Macon State College.
