The board of directors for the $3.5 billion Members 1st Federal Credit Union in Mechanicsburg, Pa., unanimously named George Nahodil as its new president/CEO last week.

He has served as acting president/CEO since the sudden death of former President/CEO Bob Marquette on July 2

Nahodil previously worked as executive vice president in charge of retail delivery, public relations and marketing since joining credit union in 2001, the Keystone State's third largest credit union by assets.

"George's leadership ability, experience and grasp of both the existing opportunities and challenges made him the clear choice to lead the organization into the future," John Devlin, Members 1st boar chair, said. "George has all the skills necessary – strategic vision, management, and a command of the changing environment of the financial services industry." 

Before joining Members 1st FCU, Nahodil served as vice president of sales at TransUnion/Credit Plus Solutions Group and was first deputy comptroller of Mt. Vernon, N.Y.

Members 1st FCU operates 60 branches throughout southcentral Pennsylvania and serves more than 365,000 members worldwide.
