The Pennsylvania Credit Union Association introduced Thursday its new logo and what it called a new brand promise of "moving your credit union forward."
"We made the decision to rebrand as a way to reinforce our leadership role in the credit union movement. Changing the look and feel of our logo and creating a brand promise were clear first steps for us," Patrick Conway, PCUA's president/CEO, said in a prepared statement. "This process would not have been possible without the support of our members, the Pennsylvania credit unions who allow us to be their advocate."
The rebranding project began with in-depth interviews and surveys to identify what Pennsylvania credit unions needed and wanted from their association. Using that information, PCUA created five personas that represent the diversity of the association's membership. A SWOT analysis also was undertaken to identify the organization's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

"Creating the new logo is something that we have been working on for nearly a year and we are excited to finally introduce it to our members and show them that their association is working for them," Conway said.
Founded in 1934, the Harrisburg-based PCUA serves 395 credit unions throughout the Keystone state that manage assets in excess of $45.9 billion and serve 3.9 million members.
