The $643 million AltaOne Federal Credit Union based in Ridgecrest, Calif., promoted Valerie Diggs to supervisor for the Lone Pine member service center. Diggs is responsible for the overall management of the Lone Pine MSC, directly supervising staff, which includes training, monitoring performance and ensuring member service standards are upheld. Diggs previously served as member service specialist at AltaOne's Lone Pine MSC from October 2016 through September 2016.

EAST

The $3 billion Tower Federal Credit Union in Laurel, Md., announced Al Smith, SVP of member services received his Certified Chief Executive designation through the CUES CEO Institute program. Smith joined Tower's senior management team in early 2017, and is a proven leader with his dedication to ongoing professional development and vast knowledge of the credit union industry. He has extensive leadership experience with both credit unions and banks.

MIDWEST

The $2 billion Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union in St. Paul, Minn., announced two new additions to its senior management team.

Teri Laufers was promoted to SVP of information technology operations and development. Laufers most recently served as vice president of IT. Laufers joined Affinity Plus in June 2014, bringing 30 years of industry experience to the position. As SVP of IT operations and development, Laufers oversees Affinity Plus' IT applications and technical support team. Currently she leads organizational change as the executive sponsor of several system conversions – including the core processing and digital banking systems.

Corey Rupp was promoted to SVP of lending. In this position, Rupp oversees all aspects of consumer lending, business lending and real estate. Rupp has worked for Affinity Plus for 13 years. He started in 2004 as a branch manager in Rochester, Minn., and moved in 2010 to Bemidji, Minn., to oversee the credit union's lending operations. During his career, he has led the implementation of new lending platforms, made significant enhancements to mobile lending, established a loan preapproval program and completely overhauled the credit union's lending program.

SOUTH

The $2.1 billion Chartway Federal Credit Union in Virginia Beach, Va., selected Jim Edwards as the credit union's new CFO. Edwards comes to Chartway with 30 years of leadership experience in the financial industry. Most recently, he spent 13 years as a successful, strategic leader with BB&T Mortgage in both CFO and chief risk officer roles.

The $2.3 billion Robins Financial Credit Union in Warner Robins, Ga., hired Betsy Baugham as human resources manager. Baugham has worked in human resources for the majority of her career and has 25 years of experience in the banking industry. She is a certified senior professional in human resources.

The $3.2 billion Northwest Federal Credit Union in Herndon, Va., promoted Alex Lane to SVP of operations. Lane has been serving in an acting capacity since February 2017 and has been employed with the credit union since 2015. Lane has more than eight years of experience as an operations consultant to executive leaders and department heads in the areas of banking operations, process improvement and crisis management. He has significant expertise improving organizational structures, streamlining key functions and mitigating cost through implementing best practices and strategies.
