The $1.4 billion LBS Financial Credit Union based in Long Beach, Calif., promoted one employee and hired another.
Patty Mendiola was promoted to vice president, branch manager at the Bixby Knolls branch. Mendiola brings more than 10 years of experience to the position. She previously served as assistant branch manager for the Los Altos and Bixby Knolls branches. Prior to joining LBS Financial, Mendiola worked for 15 years in the credit union and banking industry. Violet Stewart was hired as vice president, branch manager of the Lakewood branch. Stewart brings more than 20 years of financial industry experience with her to LBS Financial. Most recently, she served as the branch manager of another credit union. The majority of Stewart's career has been in the credit union industry. She recently completed her MBA with a focus on organizational leadership.
