William Kennedy was named president/CEO of the $45.3 million HUD Federal Credit Union in Washington. D.C., last week.
He succeeded President/CEO Lee Hancock who retired after 33 years of service. Kennedy's appointment was effective July 17.
Kennedy most recently served as manager of finance and accounting for the $927 million Wright Patman Congressional Federal Credit Union in Oakton, Va.
He also held executive positions with the $179 million DOI Federal Credit Union in Washington, D.C., the $147 million Jersey Shore Federal Credit Union in Northfield, N.J., the (inactive) SCF Federal Credit Union in Columbia, S.C., and the Central Florida Postal Credit Union, which was renamed the $69.1 million Priority Credit Union in Orlando.
Founded in 1936, HUD Federal Credit Union serves nearly 5,000 members.
