"NCUA Conserves Shreveport FCU," April 13
Shreveport Federal Credit Union received $4,550,806 from the U.S. Treasury's Community Development Financial Institutions Fund between 2011 and 2014. That was a gross misuse of taxpayers' dollars. Support President Trump's objective to stop this form of misapplied partisan crony capitalism.

"CFPB Rule Exemption for CUs Equals Economic Growth," April 14
An exemption for credit unions from the ruinous rules and overreaching law enforcement intervention of the CFPB has been a dead end objective since the 2010 origination of the rogue federal agency. Nothing short of the complete deletion of the CFPB from the planet will provide credit unions with even a chance of survival.

"Senate Clouds Dodd-Frank Overhaul," April 14
The path forward for credit union and community bank regulatory relief is clear. Defeat all democratic senators in 2018 and elect only pro-business, pro-economy candidates. It will be an all-in or nothing election.

"CDFIs Get a Budget Boost, Despite Trump's Threat to Cut," May 1
This obscene amount should have been DOA! Giving away tax dollars is not a solution to our deficit as a nation. It's obvious that Democrats and RINOs are making their presence known through lobbyists!

"New York Credit Unions Appeal Taxi Medallion Ruling," May 4
CUs should never have been involved in medallion loans. [It's a] poor use of members' equity and far from a CU's mission.

"Lawmakers Push Bill Allowing Student Debt to Be Discharged in Bankruptcy," May 8
Generally student debt is co-signed by a parent. To allow student loans to be discharged, it would eliminate the ability to obtain repayment from the co-signor. Should there be no co-signor, then the institution granting the loan should incur the loss. Financial literacy and responsibility should not be allowed to easily be dismissed!

Part of the discussion needs to include clawback provisions against institutions of higher education that charge outrageous amounts for tuition and do not prepare their students to be meaningfully employed. That would be any institution that grants degrees in any subject ending with "studies."
