SOUTH
The $1.1 billion Georgia United Credit Union in Duluth, Ga., hired Robert A. Bogart as CFO. Bogart will assume the CFO responsibilities from Todd Gustafson, who will continue to serve as the credit union's EVP. Bogart will be responsible for leading the accounting, finance, audit, compliance and facilities functions. He will also play a key role in overseeing the risk management activities of the credit union.
The $980 million SAFE Federal Credit Union in Sumter, S.C., hired Toby Hayes as vice president of marketing. In this role, Hayes will continue to drive the credit union's growth. Hayes has held key marketing positions at credit unions in Texas and California over a 10-year career.
The $2 billion Chartway Federal Credit Union in Virginia Beach, Va., promoted six employees. Christine Olson was promoted to vice president of human resources. In this role, Olson will oversee all aspects of the human resource functions for the credit union. Mindy Estok was promoted to vice president of business process, overseeing the organizational aspects of process improvements and the transformation. Isabelle Nawrocki was promoted to vice president of enterprise risk management/compliance, overseeing the risk management, compliance and BSA departments. Theresa Delp, an employee of Chartway since 1994, was promoted to director of business planning. Delp will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of enterprise business related to strategic planning, including the compilation of performance measurements and business plan initiatives. Jill Edsall was promoted to director of training. In this role, Edsall is responsible for the learner experience and curriculum development to strengthen the skills and performance of Chartway leaders and employees. Mallory Snader was promoted to director of lending operations. In this role, Snader will oversee numerous processing groups, including dealer processing, equity processing, the collateral department and loan support specialists.
MIDWEST
The $1 billion Firefly Credit Union in Burnsville, Minn., hired Alex Hattar as Chanhassen retail sales manager. In his new role, Hattar will be responsible for overseeing Firefly's Chanhassen branch location. Hattar gained eight years of experience working as a branch manager for financial institutions in the Twin Cities, and is currently pursuing a degree in accounting at the Minnesota School of Business.
The $2.9 billion Teachers Credit Union in South Bend, Ind., hired Gary Booth as vice president of mortgage lending. In his new role, he will oversee sales, operations and profitability within the mortgage division of TCU. He will also ensure TCU continues offering extensive mortgage products with competitive interest rates, while utilizing underwriting practices to foster growth. Gary brings 40 years of experience in banking, underwriting and mortgage to TCU.
WEST
The $1 billion Oregon State Credit Union in Corvallis, Ore., hired Shane Kelley as a commercial loan officer. Kelley will be located at the credit union's main branch in Corvallis, but will also serve Marion County and the Portland metropolitan area. Kelley comes to Oregon State Credit Union from Premier Northwest Insurance, and before that served as a business banker for Wells Fargo.
The $4.3 billion Ent Credit Union in Colorado Springs, Colo., promoted LaShae Woodard to service area manager. In her new role as one of Ent's four area managers, she will oversee operations at seven service centers. Woodard has nearly 27 years of Ent experience, serving in roles of increasing responsibility. For the past 11 years, she has been a service center manager responsible for day-to-day operations at individual Ent locations.
The $580 million Clark County Credit Union in Las Vegas hired Michael Henriksen Jr. as controller. In this role, Henriksen will be responsible for the accounting operations and will ensure all policies and procedures are in compliance with industry standards. He brings more than 16 years of financial services experience to his new role.
EAST
The $2.3 billion NEFCU in Westbury, N.Y., hired Michele Dean as SVP and chief lending officer. In her new role, Dean will oversee NEFCU's lending and business services departments. She will also provide unified leadership of NEFCU's consumer lending, commercial lending and business deposit services units. Dean is the former head of lending at Bethpage Federal Credit Union.
