The $180 million First Capital Federal Credit Union in York, Pa., hired a branch manager and promoted three people. David Brown was hired as branch manager of the East York office located at 2801 Eastern Blvd. In his new position, Brown is responsible for the daily operations of the branch as well as building new relationships with local businesses and members. Jeremy Ackerley was promoted to e-services specialist. In his new position, Ackerley will deliver a superior member experience through technology and personalized attention. He has a specialized associates degree in business management and will be attending the Judge/Bradley Leadership School in August. Lisa Barshinger was promoted to community engagement officer. For the past five years, she has worked as First Capital's business development representative. In her new role, she will help lead the business development initiatives as well as work to enhance the credit union's community and school involvement. Kelsey Bistline was promoted to business development representative. In her new role, she will work with the credit union's partner companies to promote membership and financial education. Bistline joined the First Capital team in 2014 as a member service representative.
The $1.7 billion American Heritage Federal Credit Union in Philadelphia hired Dorian Smith as vice president of business development. Smith has more than 18 years of executive leadership experience contributing to strong and sustainable financial growth and performance.
SOUTH
The $2 billion Atlanta Postal Credit Union in Atlanta hired Gregory Graham as assistant vice president of collections. He comes to APCU with more than 20 years of executive management and collection experience. He most recently served as executive director of operations for First Financial Asset Management, Inc.
The $534 million USF Federal Credit Union in Tampa, Fla., hired Christopher Dvorack as senior loan officer. He will be responsible for underwriting, processing and closing consumer loans, cross selling additional credit union services and training junior loan officers.
The $163 million Michigan Community Credit Union in Jackson, Miss., selected Cherie Good as mortgage loan originator. She has five years of experience working in the credit union industry and more than 12 years working in business. Good is a graduate of Baker College, earning her degree in business and marketing.
The $184 million Hope Credit Union Jackson, Miss., appointed longtime board member James Brooks as its first director emeritus. Brooks joined HOPE as one of the first member-owners in 1995, the year the credit union was chartered in Jackson.
VENDORS
PWCampbell in Pittsburgh hired five employees to join the PWCampbell/Studio 109 designs team. Zach Boyers and Maggie Guntli were hired as project managers, and Nate Green will add to the architectural staff of Studio 109 Designs. Adam Merante joined the sales department. Merante's primary responsibilities include sales, marketing PWCampbell to the financial services industry and educating clients about the array of quality facility products and service PWCampbell has to offer. Matt Vranjes was hired as land development/permit coordinator. He will assist the company in preparing site investigation and feasibility reports, and coordinating land development approvals, among other duties.
After 11 years as a CUNA mutual executive benefits specialist, Michael E. Downey started his own firm, Clarion Capital Management. The firm is a collaboration of boutique firms that specialize in the areas of institutional investments and insurance, and web-based instant insurance products for credit union members.
