Once again, NuVision Federal Credit Union has joined forces with Boeing, The Gas Company, Edison and Northrup Grumman to support Summer Science Camp for hundreds of local K-12 students.
Summer Science Camp is designed to promote life-long learning in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math through hands-on experiments
Students from both Orange and Los Angeles counties attended the six-day math and science camp at Covina High School in Covina, Calif. Optional Early Morning Math classes were also offered to students in Grades 2-12 at no additional charge.

NuVision has supported the Summer Science Camp for over a decade, and this year's $10,000 donation helped to keep the cost of the camp as low as possible for participating families. In addition, the credit union provided scholarships for three young children from the Louie family of Montebello, Calif. to attend the camp.
"When it comes to supporting our local community, education has always been one of NuVision's primary areas of focus," Attila Morgan, manager of community engagement and public relations at NuVision said. "We are honored to once again support this annual Summer Science Camp that is both inspiring and educational for local students."
NuVision also recently awarded $20,000 in scholarships and prize money to local high school students and schools who participated in the credit union's first annual Think.Tank.Challenge. educational essay contest.
