Are you a baller on a budget? Check out these happy hours around the city if you're looking to save dollars on drinks so you can splurge elsewhere.

• Get cheap drinks and a taste of casual Southern cuisine including po' boys and smoked wings at Party Fowl, the new East Gulch District restaurant (719 8th Ave. S, 615-624-8255). Happy hour is served Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and features drinks your bank account will love: $5 house wines, $7 Absolut martinis, $5 American Born Moonshine, $5 Fireball and $1 off all drafts.

• Come for a drink and stay for the music at The Sutler (2600 Franklin Pike, 615-840-6124). It offers half-priced happy hour in the saloon Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and in the cellar Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sip your drink and enjoy The Sutler's free evening music options, which are coincidentally offered every day of the conference.

• 12 South Taproom (2318 12th Ave. S, 615-463-7552), nestled in the 12 South District, is a beer lover's heaven. Its online menu features nearly 30 draft beers and even more bottle and can options. Happy hour options vary daily.

• If you agree there's no better combo than drinks and a pizza, visit 312 Pizza Company (371 Monroe St., 615-730-7888) in Germantown, which features authentic Chicago-style pizza and two happy hours: Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m.

• M.L. Rose (two locations: Melrose, 2535 Franklin Pike, 615-712-8160 and West, 4408 Charlotte Ave., 615-750-2920) has plenty of beer options and uniquely named craft burger options like the Nash Vegas and Angry Dragon. Happy hour options vary daily.

• Yelp users ranked the Village Pub & Beer Garden (1308 McGavock Pike, 615-942-5880) high at 4.5 stars. This relaxed local brew pub features tons of beer options, a one-of-a-kind stuffed pretzel sandwich and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., when all draughts are half price.

Country Cuisine

Looking to fill your belly after a long day at the conference? Check out some of these eateries that are sure to leave you satisfied.

• ButcherTown Hall (1416 4th Ave. N, 615-454-3634), a stunning Germantown restaurant, is pleasing to the eye and the belly. It's a meat lover's dream that offers a variety of carnivorous fare, including brisket and handmade sausage. The restaurant also features an expansive beer garden and indoor and outdoor seating.

• The Southern Steak and Oyster (150 3rd Ave. S, 615-724-1762) sits in the heart of the SoBro district. Its menu features a soulful twist on a variety of tasty American favorites. It also offers a great happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

• Loveless Café (8400 Hwy. 100, 615-646-9700) has been a Nashville staple since 1951. Famous for its chicken and biscuits, in 2005 USA Today named it America's Top Down-Home Dining Spot.

• Looking to entertain colleagues? Rolf & Daughters (700 Taylor St., 615-866-9897) is your spot. The cuisine is modern American and it has a wide selection of yummy craft cocktails.

• The Pharmacy Burger Parlor and Beer Garden (731 Mcferrin Ave., 615-712-9517) has a variety of delicious burgers made with 100% Tennessee beef and all the toppings you could possibly fit on a bun. Wash it all down with a cold brew.

Tennessee Jams

You can't leave Nashville without attending at least one concert. Here are a few options.

• The Grand Ole Opry (2804 Opryland Dr., 800-733-6779) is an iconic country music staple. Check out the concert calendar and catch a show while you're in town.

• Simon and Garfunkel will perform at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Tuesday, June 14 at 7:30 p.m.

• The National Symphony has two free outdoor concerts: One at Key Park on Wednesday, June 15 at 7:30 p.m. (located on Pavilion Dr.) and another at Southeast Park Greenspace (5260 Hickory Hollow Pkwy.) on Thursday, June 16 at 7:30 p.m.

Southern Sights

Nashville is full of rich history and there are plenty things to do and see. Here are a few good places to start.

• Take a tour of Music Row. While you're there, tour the famous RCA Studio B, the former recording home of many stars including Elvis Presley and the Everly Brothers.

• Visit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to learn about the history and traditions of country music.

• Known as the Man in Black, Johnny Cash was a music legend. The Johnny Cash Museum displays some of his famous possessions and explores his legacy.

• Replicated after the Greek building of the same name, the Parthenon is the centerpiece of the 132-acre Centennial Park. Centennial Park also features a variety of activities including a walking trail, arts activity center and a sunken garden.

• Need an escape from the hustle and bustle? Take a walk through Riverfront Park, which is situated next to the Cumberland River.

• Visit Andrew Jackson's Hermitage, the former home of the seventh U.S. president.
