Across the country this past week, credit union professionals moved into new positions while others received awards for their contributions to the credit union movement.

Here's a look at the latest executive moves.

 

WEST

The $250 million Yolo Federal Credit Union in Woodland, Calif., promoted one employee and hired another. James Richie was promoted to the newly created position of community relations officer. He will help develop and strengthen strategic alliances and coordinate community relations throughout the branch network. Richie started his career at the credit union as a teller and quickly advanced to a financial services specialist.

executive movesJohn O'Connors was hired as the new financial adviser for the credit union's investment services department and is registered through CUSO Financial Services. Prior to joining the credit union, O'Connors served as a financial adviser at Edward Jones, where he earned his license in 2014.

 

 

 

 

xceed financialThe $947 million Xceed Financial Credit Union in El Segundo, Calif., named Michael J. Sacher EVP/CFO. Since early February, Sacher has served as interim CFO for Xceed Financial, working as an independent contractor while the credit union searched for a permanent replacement for its previous CFO. Sacher has more than three decades of credit union experience.

 

 

 

 

iq credit unionThe $960 million iQ Credit Union in Vancouver, Wash., selected Kelly Schrader as its new president/CEO beginning June 1, 2016. Schrader was selected after an extensive national search by the board of directors. Schrader succeeds Roger Michaelis, who will retire from iQ Credit Union in June 2016 after 31 years at the credit union. Michaelis delayed his retirement for two years to complete the credit union's merger with Lacamas Community Credit Union.

MIDWEST

The $495 million Crane Credit Union in Odon, Ind., promoted Chris Wittmer to branch manager for its Crane Base branch. Wittmer began her career with Crane in 1995. Before accepting the branch manager position, she served as the assistant branch manager at the Crane Base branch since 2005.

credit union executive movesThe $2.9 billion Veridian Credit Union in Waterloo, Iowa hired Lori Lustgraaf as mortgage loan originator. Lustgraaf, a resident of Omaha, Neb., was previously a mortgage officer at Dundee Mortgage and Midstates Bank. She's also a member of the National Association of Mortgage Brokers.

 

 

 

executive movesThe $244 million, Knoxville, Tenn.-based UT Federal Credit Union gained a new executive and volunteer board member. Mike Clonce was hired as SVP of lending/chief lending officer. Clonce has more than 30 years of experience in senior management and lending with financial institutions, with a majority of his experience being with credit unions. Clonce most recently served as EVP/chief credit officer at American Trust Bank of East Tennessee.

 

 

 

 

executive movesSteve Catlett was elected to UT's board of directors. Catlett is associate vice chancellor of development at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and serves on the leadership team in the office of development and alumni affairs. All nine members of the board are volunteers.

 

 

 

 

executive movesThe $167 million KALSEE Credit Union in Kalamazoo, Mich., hired one employee and promoted another. Tiffany Fisher was hired as a training and development manager. In 2013, Fisher joined the $682 million Honor Credit Union in Berrien Springs, Mich., as an accounts specialist, then became assistant branch manager and was promoted to talent development specialist in 2015 before joining KALSEE. Fisher began her career at the $153 million Michigan Community Credit Union in Jackson, Mich., and served in various positions. Jessica Parks was promoted to mortgage loan officer. Parks joined the KALSEE team in 2015. She has served in the financial services industry since 2008.

SOUTH

The $147 million Park View Federal Credit Union in Harrisonburg, Va., promoted Julie Yoder to mortgage manager. Yoder will oversee all residential mortgage lending operations. She will lead a team of mortgage advisers, loan processors and support staff. Yoder has 14 years of mortgage experience and has been with PVFCU since 2004.

The $136 million Service One Credit Union in Bowling Green, Ky., appointed Mark Floyd as the credit union's new vice president of lending. Floyd replaced Kristie Kennedy, who retired after 30 years. Floyd comes to Service One from Citizens National Bank in Meridian, Miss. He has more 17 years of financial institution experience.

VENDORS

executive movesPWCampbell hired Jeffrey Giuggio as project manager, Roland Brauer III as graphics installation manager and Kurt Liebmann as architectural coordinator for PWCampbell's wholly-owned subsidiary, Studio 109 Designs, LLC.
