EAST

The Education Credit Union Council named Chris Conway as president of its board of directors. Chris Conway is president/CEO of the $815 million Educational Systems Federal Credit Union in Greenbelt, Md. Conway has worked for credit unions that serve the education community for more than 25 years and has served as the president/CEO of Educational Systems FCU since 2007.

The $1.7 billion Pawtucket Credit Union in Pawtucket, R.I., hired Tamarah Bacon as assistant vice president of commercial lending. Bacon will be responsible for developing new business loan relationships. She has more than seven years of experience in the commercial lending field, most recently serving as business development manager for the Southeastern Economic Development Corporation. The $890 million St. Mary's Bank in Manchester, N.H., hired Daniel Robertson as the newest member of its residential lending team. Robertson previously worked in mortgage loan administration at the $2.8 billion Service Credit Union in Portsmouth, N.H., and has diverse experience in the real estate industry.

WEST

Michael Wacker joined the $585 million Greater Nevada Credit Union in Carson City, Nev., as facilities manager. He will be responsible for overseeing the interior and exterior maintenance of Greater Nevada's 12 branches, as well as its administrative buildings. Wacker has more than 15 years of experience in construction and facilities management, landscape installation, maintenance, carpentry and other construction trades.

The $3.1 billion Bellco Credit Union in Greenwood Village, Colo., promoted two employees to district manager. Kristine Sansburn was promoted to district manager of the Bellco southeast district, which includes the Parker, Smoky Hill, Centennial, Aurora City Place, Havana, Stapleton and Cherry Creek branches. Sansburn has been with Bellco for more than four years, and most recently served as branch manager of both the Bellco Parker and Denver Tech Center branches. Cristin Lundeby was promoted to district manager of the north district, which includes the Thornton, Huron, Westminster, Washington, Arvada, Sloan's Lake and Downtown branches. Lundeby has been with Bellco since 2007 and most recently served as the branch manager for the Westminster branch.

Rick Hein, president/CEO of the $979 million Oregon State Credit Union in Corvallis, Ore., received the 2016 Buck Levins Award. The award was established 15 years ago to recognize one credit union CEO, staff member or board member who demonstrates exceptional leadership in advocacy. Hein is the first Northwest credit union advocate to receive the prestigious honor.

J. David Eisenhauer, director of the board for the $386 million Tucson Federal Credit Union in Tucson, Ariz., will retire at the end of his term on April 26. Eisenhauer served a six-year tenure on the board, including several terms as chairman of the board. Eisenhauer's credit union career began in 1971, and he has held positions ranging from branch manager to senior vice president of lending, CFO and CEO.

SOUTH

The $25 million Compass Financial Federal Credit Union in Medley, Fla., hired Ralph Calzadilla as assistant vice president/branch manager. He will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Medley Branch. He joins Compass Financial with more than 17 years of experience in the banking industry, most recently with Wells Fargo.

MIDWEST

The $307 million SIU Credit Union in Carbondale, Ill. promoted Robert Craft as branch manager for the Carbondale West branch. Craft will be responsible for providing operational leadership to branch staff, including staff development and retention. Craft was previously the floating member service representative, serving all branch locations as needed, and has nearly three years of prior experience with financial institutions.

The $825 million, Falcon Heights, Minn.-based SPIRE Credit Union promoted Mike Elliott to Eagan Branch Manager. Elliot has more than 12 years of experience in the financial services industry.
