The World Council of Credit Union's Global Women's Leadership Network has opted to celebrate International Women's Day by offering leadership opportunities to pay it forward.
Emerging female credit union leaders are encouraged to apply for a GWLN scholarship to help bring increased access to loans, credit and financial education to women in their community. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively implement their proposed project and suggest appropriate engagement from GWLN members, such as volunteer field opportunities and knowledge exchanges.
Scholarship winners receive complimentary membership to GWLN, which provides women with the tangible skills, tools and resources needed to lead and offers pratical strategies in helping organizations close gender leadership gaps. Recipients will be invited to the 2016 World Credit Union Conference and Network Forum.
