A number of credit unions recently completed or signed for core system conversions, renewals and other major technological upgrades.

CU*Answers

The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based CU*Answers, a 100% credit union-owned core data processor, announced the $17 million, Rockford, Ill.-based Generations Credit Union chose CU*Answers' CU*BASE system as its new data processor.

In addition, the CU*Answers Internet Retailer Support Center, a new support desk for credit union virtual channel project managers, launched mobile apps for five new credit unions. The $12.5 million, Pomona, Calif.-based Cal Poly Federal Credit Union; $120 million, Pittsburgh-based Century Heritage Federal Credit Union; $113.5 million, Rhinelander, Wis.-based Ripco Credit Union; $32 million, Blountstown, Fla.-based Calhoun-Liberty Employees Credit Union and $31 million, Allegan, Mich.-based Allegan Community Federal Credit Union deployed the mobile apps to the Apple Store and Google Play Store.

Fiserv

Three credit unions in British Columbia selected the Brookfield, Wis.-based Fiserv's DNA account processing platform: The $320 million, Smithers-based BulkleyValley Credit Union; $477 million, Fort St. John-based North Peace Savings and Credit Union and $132 million, Prince George-based Spruce Credit Union.

In the United States, the $4.3 billion, New York City-based United Nations Federal Credit Union selected the DNA account processing platform as well as DNA tools for business process management, automated teller capture, marketing analytics and marketing automation, and automated member authentication.

Fiserv also announced 25 credit unions, which have approximately $2.5 billion in assets and 250,000 members collectively, committed to the CUnify account processing platform. In 2015, 14 credit unions extended CUnify partnerships with Fiserv, and 11 credit unions selected CUnify as a new account processing platform, including the $125 million, Chambersburg, Penn.-based 1st Ed Credit Union.

The $354 million, Manchester, N.H.-based Granite State Credit Union implemented Statement Advantage from Fiserv for document composition, production and delivery of both printed and electronic member statements.

FLEX

The Sandy, Utah-based FLEX, which provides integrated core technology, announced it completed eight core conversions. Its new clients are the $5.6 million, Mobile, Ala.-based Progressive Federal Credit Union; $31 million, Fillmore, Utah-based Millard County Credit Union; $36 million, Tulsa, Okla.-based Fraternal Order of Police Credit Union; $44 million, Springfield, Tenn.-based Credit Union for Robertson County; $37 million, Little Rock, Ark.-based TruService Community Federal Credit Union; $87 million, Eleele, Hawaii-based McBryde Community Federal Credit Union; $87 million, Virginia Beach, Va.-based Virginia Beach Schools Federal Credit Union and $155 million, Honolulu-based Hawaii Law Enforcement Federal Credit Union.

Progressive Federal Credit Union selected the outsourced hosting model of FLEX while each of the other credit unions implemented a custom hybrid solution.

Symitar

The $926 million, Purchase, N.Y.-based Quorum Federal Credit Union reported significant time savings and operational improvements since implementing jhaEnterprise Workflow and selecting SymitarEASE, the outsourced delivery model of the Episys core processing system from the Monett, Mo.-based Symitar, a Jack Henry company.

In addition, Jack Henry announced the company, along with its Symitar division, are joint recipients of the Member Driven Technologies Business Partner of the Year Award. MDT, a CUSO serving credit union members in 28 states with combined assets of $18.9 billion, also announced the implementation of the Symitar Episys platform at the $119 million, Billings, Mont.-based Billings Federal Credit Union.

Symitar, in collaboration with Best Innovation Group, also created an interface between its Episys core processing platform and Amazon's Echo; other virtual assistant technologies will follow, it said.

Xtend

The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based CUSO Xtend, along with its partners at the Denver-based Relevant Solutions, announced the launch of its first set of mobile coupon apps. The $202 million, Middletown, Ohio-based MidUSA Credit Union and $372 million, Frankenmuth, Mich.-based Frankenmuth Credit Union successfully launched their coupon apps in the past 60 days.

Chatter Yak!

Chatter Yak!, an Oshkosh, Wis.-based marketing CUSO, announced several new credit unions are using Yak! Tracker, a loan lead generation application that utilizes social media.

Credit unions that recently signed on to use this lead generation application include the $404 million, Westby, Wis.-based Westby CO-OP Credit Union; $121.5 million, Escanaba, Mich.-based Delta County Credit Union; $185.5 million, Manitowoc, Wis.-based UnitedOne Credit Union and $372 million, Frankenmuth, Mich.-based Frankenmuth Credit Union
