CO-OP Financial Services will soon roll out a new logo and brand for the self-service devices throughout its shared branch network, according to an announcement from the payments CUSO Wednesday.
The new “CO-OP Shared Branch express” label will soon appear in about 1,950 relevant locations, machines and kiosks, as well as in branches and retail sites in the CUSO's shared branching network. The idea, according to CO-OP, is to help members make a clear distinction between full-service and self-service options.
“As in-branch and retail technology continues to evolve, it is critical to both keep pace with growing consumer demand for self-service, but also make sure that we are clearly identifying those services, to ensure a user experience that matches expectations,” CO-OP President/CEO Stan Hollen (pictured) said. “The CO-OP Shared Branch express branding is a way for credit unions to embrace self-service, advance their branch transformation program and at the same time ensure member convenience.”
Self-service kiosks – a growing part of the industry's widespread branch transformation efforts – typically allow members to make check deposits and withdrawals, get cash loan advances, make loan payments, transfer money between accounts, check balances and view account history.
More than 1,800 credit unions participate in CO-OP's shared branch network, and at 5,400 branches, it is the third largest branch system in the financial services industry.
