Credit unions in all regions of the nation announced promotions and new hires. The industry's trades and vendors also made several new appointments.

EAST

Kevin Linden (pictured), vice president of finance, was promoted to executive vice president of finance at the $167 million First Capital Federal Credit Union in York, Pa. He joined the credit union in 1996 after graduating from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in finance. Linden started in the accounting department as a bookkeeper. Over the course of the last 20 years, he worked his way up through the ranks. He has also earned the Credit Union Executive Society Certified Chief Executive designation.

Anthony Emerson, president/CEO of the $526 million I-C Federal Credit Union in Fitchburg, Mass., was elected to serve a three-year term as a director of the board of the Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts. With $67 million in assets, the Health Foundation awards grants to improve the health of those who live or work throughout central Massachusetts.

The $52.6 million Hartford Municipal Employee's Federal Credit Union in Hartford, Conn., hired Drew Williams as a branch manager. He holds experience in the financial services industry in branch operations, process improvement, and business and community development.

MIDWEST

Tia Shibley was appointed as a manager of a Springdale, Ark.-based branch of the $2 billion United Federal Credit Union based in St. Joseph, Mich. She previously served as an assistant branch manager, member service advisor and teller.

Kyle Goss was promoted to branch manager at the $307 million SIU Credit Union in Carbondale, Ill. She previously served as a member service representative and holds more than 11 years of experience with financial institutions.

SOUTH

Amy McConnell, marketing and public relations manager for the $324 million Belvoir Federal Credit Union in Woodbridge, Va., earned the designation of a certified marketing professional from the Direct Marketing Association. In addition to this nationally recognized certification, she holds a master's degree in project management and a bachelor's degree in marketing and advertising.

WEST

The $616 million Christian Community Credit Union in San Dimas, Calif. promoted Sandra Aguirre (pictured) to vice president of human resources. Aguirre joined the credit union in 2001 as a staff education and development specialist. Through the years, she's moved up the ranks to human resources specialist and then was promoted to human resources manager. Later, she was appointed to assistant vice president of human resources. Aguirre graduated from the University of Phoenix with a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in human resources.

Kayla Pederson was promoted to vice president of consumer lending at the $569 million Clark County Credit Union in Las Vegas. She brings more than a decade of banking experience in the financial industry and most recently held the positions of loan operations manager and senior underwriter with the credit union. Prior to joining CCCU, she held leadership positions at Wells Fargo Bank and at other credit unions.

The $1.3 billion Whitefish Credit Union based in Whitefish, Mont., announced the appointment of four employees to its member business lending office. Kelly St. Onge was named vice president and manager of the credit union's MBL office. She joined Whitefish CU in 2011 and holds more than 20 years of experience in the commercial lending field. Scott Blodgett (pictured) was named senior credit officer in the credit union's MBL office. He brings more than 13 years of experience in the banking industry and previously worked at Wells Fargo Bank, where he served as a business loan underwriter, credit manager and as a business banking relationship manager. Daniel James joined Whitefish CU as a member business loan officer. He holds more than 14 years of experience in residential construction, and consumer and commercial lending. Finally, Karen Witt (pictured below) was hired as a new member business loan officer. She holds more than 12 years of business lending experience. She previously served as market president for US Bank and most recently worked as a senior solutions architect with Xerox's Global Financial Services Division.

TRADES

The Illinois Credit Union League in Naperville appointed Katherine Romano Schnack as its compliance and corporate counsel in the league's office of general counsel. She worked at private law firm and served with the Federal Trade Commission in Washington and in its Chicago office. At FTC, she litigated claims involving many consumer protection laws that related to credit union operations.

Eli Joseph was appointed CUNA's deputy chief advocacy officer. Prior to joining the national trade organization, he worked for Merck & Co., Inc. as executive director of Federal Policy and Government Relations. His professional background includes extensive trade association experience as managing director of federal government relations at the Biotechnology Industry Association. Joseph also served on the staff of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs.

VENDORS

TMG CEO Shazia Manus named one of the most influential women in payments by PaymentsSource magazine. She was selected by the editors of the publication as one of 25 female leaders driving change in payments field. She was also named as a Woman to Watch by the Credit Union Times in 2012. Prior to joining TMG, Manus served as the president/CEO of the $358 million Greater Iowa Credit Union in Ames. Based in Des Moines, Iowa, TMG is a card processing and payment solutions provider.

CU Service Network, a Lakewood, Colo.-based CUSO, hired Rich Mohr (pictured) and Lauren Annino as business development account managers. Mohr previously worked for the $188 million Rocky Mountain Law Enforcement Credit Union in Denver, the $1.6 billion Elevations Credit Union in Boulder, Colo., and the Mountain West Credit Union Association. Annino previously worked in home healthcare and for Hospice.

Donnie Price joined Samaha Associates in Chino Hills, Calif. as a senior consultant. As the previous president/CEO of $116 million Four Points Federal Credit Union in Omaha, Neb., he holds more than 20 years of leadership experience in the technology and financial services. He also previously worked for PSCU and First Data.

Core processor Fiserv named Robert Hau CFO effective March 14, 2016. Hau's professional background includes nearly 30 years of progressive business and financial leadership roles. He most recently served as executive vice president and CFO of TE Connectivity Ltd., a $12 billion global product technology company that designs and manufactures connectivity and sensor solutions for a variety of industries. Prior to joining TE Connectivity, Hau served as executive vice president and CFO for Lennox International Inc., and also spent 22 years at Honeywell International Inc. in a variety of leadership roles, including as CFO of its Aerospace Business Group, Specialty Materials Business Group and Aerospace Electronic Systems Unit. Hau holds a master's degree in business administration from the USC Marshall School of Business and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Marquette University. Hau succeeds Tom Hirsch, who is retiring after a 21-year career with Fiserv. Hirsch was named chief financial officer in 2006 and will continue through the year as a special consultant to the company.
