For the ninth year, DOCO Credit Union has married fundraising and the fine Southern tradition of hunting the "Prince of Game Birds", indigenious Bobwhite Quails. 

The credit union based in Albany, Ga., hosted its annual Quail Hunt to benefit the Georgia CUPAC/CULAC. 

Held at the Southern Woods Plantation in Sylvester, Ga., the three-day event drew more than 60 hunters. Event sponsored included CUNA Mutual Group; Vansant & Corriere Attorneys at Law; Evans, Simpson and Associates, Inc.; Ameris Bank Wholesale Services; and Howe Construction.

Highlights of the weekend included Warren Butler winning first place in the trap shoot and  Bobby Youngblood earning second place. 

Richard Ellis' trap shoot performance earned him the infamous "I shot like crap" award. 

Quail hunt southern traditionThe winner of the Franchi Instinct SL 20 gauge shotgun raffle, sponsored by DOCO, was Robert Youngblood.

In addition, Jim Kidd walked away with a Bass Pro gift card donated by William Gautier Law. Other door prizes were donated by Southern Woods Plantation including a cooler to Phil Redmond and a shirt to Alton Darby. 

All proceeds from the DOCO Quail Hunt event benefit the Georgia CUPAC/CULAC.
