St. Mary's Bank helped the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester start the new year off right with a $4,000 contribution.

The credit union's grant will partially fund a feasibility study to gauge future opportunities to enhance and refurbish Camp Foster, the organization's summer camp facility. Since the mid 1920s, Camp Foster has provided children with summer learning opportunities. The current facility, built in the 1940s includes 22 acres of land complete with program and recreation cabins, a swimming pool, pond, athletic fields and playground.

The feasibility study will explore a complete renovation of the grounds and facilities allowing the organization to serve more children, enhance outdoor programming for Club members beyond the summer vacation period, and expand the amount of financial assistance available to families in need.

"Our relationship with the Boys & Girls Club extends beyond a financial gift," Judi Window, community outreach coordinator at St. Mary's Bank said. "We have a long history of supporting the Boys & Girls Club and we are excited to announce a new CU 4 Reality financial literacy program."
