The NCUA issued one prohibition order in December against a former employee at U.P. State Credit Union, the agency announced on Dec. 31.
The prohibition order for Brianna Freel, a former branch manager at $64 million U.P. State in Escanaba, Mich., bans her from participating in the affairs of any federally insured financial institution.
Freel pleaded guilty to charges of embezzlement and false pretenses. She received two years of probation and was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $54,595.21.
