Chartway Breaks Toys for Tots Record

The $2 billion credit union collects nearly 4,200 toys in the annual Marine Corps drive.

The $2 billion Chartway FCU and its divisions of HeritageWest and SouthWest Community Credit Unions partnered with employees and members to collect a record number of toys to support the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program. Supporters of the Virginia Beach, Va.-based cooperative exceeded its goal of 3,200 items, collecting 4,183 new, unwrapped toys for children in its communities.

“It’s an absolute honor to have the opportunity to work alongside people who care for our credit union family and our communities as much as they do. These results reflect our generosity of spirit – a culture rooted in helping others, financially and charitably. Our employees and members have much to be proud of,” President/CEO Brian Schools said.
