April A. Perry was promoted to assistant vice president/consumer loan underwriting manager for the $1.3 billion Workers' Credit Union in Fitchburg, Mass. Perry joined the credit union in 1982 and most recently served as its consumer loan underwriting manager.

The $1.6 billion Royal Credit Union in Eau Claire, Wis. promoted Betty Laskowski to organizational relations and recruiting manager. Laskowski began working for Royal in 1992 and has served as an organizational talent advisor since 2000. In addition, Royal promoted Andrea Finn to digital marketing manager. Finn joined Royal in 2012 and spent the last three years serving as its digital marketing specialist.
Rachel Moreland joined the $169 million, Kalamazoo, Mich.-based KALSEE Credit Union as the manager of its Stadium and Drake branches. Moreland most recently worked for Fifth Third Bank where she served as a financial center manager.
Ideal Credit Union promoted Faith Tholkes to vice president of mortgage services. Tholkes started her career with Ideal in 1996 and joined the mortgage department in 1998. She was promoted to director of mortgage sales in 2013. Ideal is based in Woodbury, Minn. and has $608 million in assets.
The $478 million, Odon, Ind.-based Crane Credit Union awarded its first annual Lenora Whitehead Service Award to Linda Bailey, a loan officer at its Washington branch.
Lenora Whitehead worked as a part-time teller for Crane from 2002 until she retired in 2014; shortly after, she passed away. Those who knew Whitehead would describe her as selfless, dependable and a woman of character and integrity; the award honors an employee who demonstrates these same qualities. In honor of the first award, Crane presented a $1,000 donation to Bethel Mall, a ministry of Bethel United Methodist Church, where Whitehead volunteered for many years.
The $591 million, Lansing, Mich.-based LAFCU promoted Kelli Ellsworth Etchison to senior vice president of marketing. Ellsworth Etchison has more than 30 years of experience in the credit union industry and began working at LAFCU more than 25 years ago as a loan interviewer.
SOUTH
The $209 million Champion Credit Union of Canton, N.C. hired Vickie Kanupp as its mortgage sales manager. She has more than 30 years of mortgage experience as a part owner of KR Mortgages Unlimited, owner and operator of Biltmore Mortgage and Associates, Bank of North Carolina, Vantage Point Bank and most recently as a mortgage banker with Yadkin Bank in Asheville, N.C. In addition, Champion hired Lori Chappell as a business development officer. Chappell worked in the mortgage field in the Asheville and Hendersonville, N.C. markets, and in 2007, she began a career in education, serving as a career development coordinator for Henderson County Public Schools and most recently a teacher at Canton Middle School.
The $1.4 billion America's First Federal Credit Union in Birmingham, Ala. hired Stacy Almond-Eads as a mortgage loan originator. Almond-Eads has 21 years of experience in construction lending, compliance, appraisal management and mortgage insurance sales. She also spent eight years of her career specializing in mortgage processing.
WEST
The $9.5 billion Golden 1 Credit Union of Sacramento promoted Richard Musci from senior vice president and chief lending offer to executive vice president, chief products officer and Greg Brown from vice president of consumer lending to senior vice president, chief lending officer. The credit union also hired Doug Aguiar as senior vice president, chief marketing officer. Musci joined Golden 1 in 2013 and has more than 20 years of experience in financial services. Aguiar has more than 25 years of marketing experience and held marketing leadership positions at Lennar Corporation, Washington Mutual and Countrywide Financial Corporation.
The $566 million University of Hawaii Federal Credit Union in Honolulu promoted AshLee Mahelona to vice president of human resources. Mahelona has served UHFCU for 10 years as a senior teller, branch services manager and process improvement manager.
