The House Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations will hold a hearing aimed at the CFPB's mass data collection programs on Dec. 16.
Subcommittee Chairman Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.) will hold the hearing, titled "Examining the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's Mass Data Collection Program," at 10 a.m. in the 2128 Rayburn House Office Building in Washington.
The CFPB's data collection efforts became a concern to the House Financial Services Subcommittee following a GAO report that identified failings in the agency's data collection tactics and information management methodologies.
