Peter Strozniak joined CU Times as a staff reporter on Nov. 23.

Strozniak has more than 30 years of journalism experience. He began working as a correspondent-at-large for CU Times in June 2012. As a staff reporter, Strozniak will continue to cover fraud, trade associations and leagues, marketing, human resources, business continuity, natural disasters, mergers and acquisitions, CEO and director compensation, and breaking news.

"CU Times readers are already familiar with Peter's excellent work," Executive Editor Heather Anderson said. "He has made a name for himself in the credit union industry as an accurate, persistent and thoughtful reporter. We're pleased to elevate his position."

Before joining CU Times, the Cleveland-based Strozniak worked as a contributing writer and editor and produced a wide range of print articles and web content that supported the business and communications goals of local, regional and national media organizations, as well as Fortune 500 corporations and small businesses.

He previously served as an editor for IndustryWeek, a business editor and reporter for a regional daily newspaper, and the founding editor of a weekly suburban newspaper.

In his spare time, Strozniak enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading and meditating.
