I wanted to share my opinion regarding the great article I read in Credit Union Times. It was the Oct. 9 article by David Morrison titled, "Immigrants Present Opportunities."
This has certainly been the case throughout the history of our great country, and I enjoyed reading this article. However, in the fifth paragraph, first sentence, I simply wanted to share with you that I disagree with its inference.
I trust Mr. Morrison is referring to the GOP in his reference to the "negative comments being made about immigrants during the current presidential primary season." If I'm correct, Mr. Morrison should have edited his own article to articulate accurately why the negative comments are being expressed/discussed.

To clarify, the negative comments that I've heard and read about center on illegal immigration and not simply immigration. So this article should have made that very important distinction. It didn't and that's why I wanted to reach out to you.
So although I truly enjoyed the article and agree with the theme of its message, the author left out one extremely important word, illegal, when referencing the negative comments.
Whether on purpose or by accident, this omission may give your readers the wrong impression of the debate currently going on.
Since America is a melting pot of different ethnic backgrounds, immigration into America continues to be a great thing. When it is done illegally, then that's where the problem is and that's where the debate needs to be.
