Tony Boutelle, president/CEO of CU Direct, built the organization into the largest indirect lending network for credit unions and helped increase industry auto loan share.
Carroll D. Beach led the Colorado Credit Union League and CUSC Shared Branching. His leadership in shared branching significantly increased member access and credit unions' ability to compete against banks.
Rudy Hanley was president/CEO of SchoolsFirst FCU and a founding member of the Filene Research Institute.
Gigi Hyland is executive director of the National Credit Union Foundation and was also a former NCUA board member (2005-2012) and CUNA executive.
Cliff Rosenthal was president/CEO of the National Federation of Community Development CUs and served as assistant director of the CFPB. He co-founded the CDFI movement.
Gary Oakland is the retired president/CEO of BECU (1980-2012), the nation's fourth-largest credit union. He promoted the use of technology in member service, served as a leadership role model and championed assistance to low-income credit unions and supplemental capital.
John Tippets was president/CEO of American Airlines FCU and came out of retirement to serve as interim president/CEO of North Island CU.
Martin Eakes is co-founder and CEO of Self-Help Credit Union and the Center for Responsible Lending.
Ken Robinson was president/CEO of NAFCU for 16 years.
Barry Jolette is retired president/CEO of San Mateo Credit Union. He grew SMCU from $7 million to nearly $800 million in assets and was a high-profile industry advocate for issues ranging from H.R. 1151 to World Council.
David Chatfield, retired president/CEO, California and Nevada Credit Union League and former NCUA board member helped found think tank Filene Research Institute and created The Shapiro Group, a model program which has assisted hundreds of small credit unions.
Susan Frank, president/CEO of Desert Schools FCU since 1999, became the first female CEO of a credit union with more than $1 billion in assets.
Bob Schumacher was president/CEO of MountainCrest Credit Union. He also spent eight years at CUNA, 12 at credit union leagues in Washington and Florida and two years at a mortgage CUSO.
Nancy Pierce is the retired president of Mazuma Credit Union (1988-2001). She was also CUNA's chairman during the infamous AT&T Family FCU FOM case filed by the American Bankers Association.
Mike Welch was founder/publisher of CU Times.
Teresa Freeborn has served as president/CEO of Xceed Financial Credit Union since 2006. She is also active in the Filene Research Institute's Research Council, Western CUNA Management School, the Global Women's Leadership Network and Credit Unions for Kids.
