EAST

Fred Hagerman was hired as vice president of marketing for the $2 billion Langley Federal Credit Union in Newport News, Va. Hagerman most recently served as senior vice president, chief marketing officer for the $946 million Firstmark Credit Union in San Antonio, Texas.

MIDWEST

The $2.7 billion Veridian Credit Union of Waterloo, Iowa hired Haley Mace as a branch manager. Mace will manage the credit union's first Council Bluffs, Iowa branch, set to open in spring 2015. She was previously a licensed insurance representative at Judd Knispel State Farm Insurance Agency and brings 13 years of financial industry experience to Veridian CU.

Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union in St. Paul, Minn. announced that Julie Cosgrove returned to the $1.7 billion cooperative as senior vice president of human resources after a three-year hiatus. Cosgrove spent the past three years building and leading the human resources department for The Emily Program, and prior to that, she worked for Affinity Plus FCU from 2000 to 2012.

Corporate One Federal Credit Union in Columbus, Ohio appointed Mark Overfield, executive vice president of the $240 million Firelands Federal Credit Union in Bellevue, Ohio, to its supervisory committee for a three-year term. Overfield brings more than 30 years of credit union experience to his position, and previously served as chief financial officer of the $177 million Vacationland Federal Credit Union in Sandusky, Ohio and operations manager for Area Financial Services.

SOUTH

Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union of Houston promoted Margot Stewart to vice president of marketing. She previously served as director of project management for the $206 million institution. Stewart joined Cy-Fair FCU in 2014, and brings nearly 20 years of marketing and communications experience to her new position. She previously launched major rebrand initiatives for an urban Northwest credit union and a nationally recognized grocery chain.

Timothy P. Bennett was hired by the $2.6 billion TDECU of Lake Jackson, Texas as chief brand officer. Bennett has more than 30 years of marketing experience and previously served as vice president of marketing for the $1.9 billion United Federal Credit Union in St. Joseph, Mich.; president and founder of Grail BrandLabs, LLC and general director of global brand strategy and research for General Motors Corporation.

Coastal Federal Credit Union in Raleigh, N.C. hired Steve Morgan as vice president, controller. Morgan brings more than 12 years of banking experience to the $2.5 billion credit union, and previously worked as an accounting manager for South Central Bank of Barren County in Glasgow, Ky., Georgia State Bank and CertusBank.

WEST

The Center for Credit Union Leadership, a division of the Mountain West Credit Union Foundation, has announced three new executive leadership scholars for 2015: Gena Carroll, vice president of Cheyenne operations for the $309 million Meridian Trust Federal Credit Union in Cheyenne, Wy.; Brian Kayton, service area manager at the $4.2 billion Ent Federal Credit Union in Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Justin Wolfe, vice president of retail banking at the $154 million Canyon State Credit Union in Phoenix.

Suzi Gradisar, mortgage loan officer for Ent Federal Credit Union, was named “Lender of the Year” by the Pueblo Association of Realtors. Gradisar has served Pueblo as an Ent Mortgage Loan Officer for eight years.

VENDORS

Coopera, a full-service Hispanic market solutions company advising credit unions, hired Alba Perez as client relations director and Xochitl Villeneuve as a client support specialist. Perez previously served as diversity development director for the Greater Des Moines Partnership and executive officer for the Office on Latino Affairs & Status of African Americans within the Iowa Department of Human Rights. Villeneuve has a strong background in customer service, administrative support and Hispanic community outreach.
