The NCUA issued prohibition orders this month forbidding four former credit union employees from taking part in the affairs of any federally insured financial institution.
Donald Battles, a former employee of the $87 million Rancho Federal Credit Union in Downey, Calif., was sentenced to 40 days in prison, three years probation and 300 hours of community service for elder theft. He was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $21,400.
Christina Christy, also known as Christina Pace, a former employee of the $11 million Gateway Credit Union in Clarksville, Tenn., received a three-year probation after pleading no contest to the charge of forgery.
Catherine Marriott, a former employee of the $7 million UMICO Federal Credit Union in New Hartford, N.Y., pleaded guilty to the charge of grand larceny. She was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay $26,000 in restitution.
Lindsey Zes, a former employee of the $5.5 billion VyStar Credit Union in Jacksonville, Fla., pleaded guilty to the charge of grand theft. Zes received unsupervised probation for two days.
The NCUA's enforcement orders are available online, for inspection at NCUA's Office of General Counsel or by mail.
Credit unions may search prohibition and administrative orders by name, institution, city, state and year on the NCUA's Administrative Orders page.
Violating a prohibition order is a felony offense punishable by imprisonment and a fine of up to $1 million.
