SC Telco FCUSouth Carolina-based SC Telco FCU has revamped its logo and relaunched its website, the credit union announced Tuesday.

The credit union's angular blue and grey logo has been rotated and now overlays the square of the previous design, creating an eight-sided design that looks something like a compass.

"Cultures worldwide consider the number eight to represent new beginnings, which is reflective of the new beginnings that SC Telco strives to provide its members," the credit union said.

"A central square reinforces SC Telco's solid foundation, while the fresh, clean color palette speaks to SC Telco's relevance to members both today and tomorrow."

SC Telco's website now has a full menu and description of products and services, as well as a new section for news releases, calculators and safety tips.

The credit union, which has $273 million in assets and about 47,000 members, also fully integrated branch and ATM locators, membership information and access to online and mobile banking in the website redesign.

COO Brian McKay directed the brand-freshening efforts.

"We focused on what key user audiences want to shape content, organization and navigation, presenting the information they asked for in a fashion that is easily accessible and intuitively located," McKay said.

"Over time, every brand freshens its presentation to reflect evolving tastes of customers, whether McDonald's iconic Golden Arches or Coca Cola's famous script lettering, as they work to remain relevant to members and customers, and SC Telco is no exception," he added.

The new look will roll out to all locations over the next several months.

In March, the credit union opened a new headquarters and operations facility in Greenville, S.C., to support growth in its member base.
