Sarah Snell Cooke, publisher and editor-in-chief of Credit Union Times, was named to the 2015 list of Top Women in Media by Folio:, a national magazine that covers the media industry.
The annual program celebrates the creativity, innovation and accomplishments of women in the magazine media industry despite the daily hurdles they may face.
The select group of women named to the list was handpicked by the Folio: team to represent the best and brightest rising stars, corporate visionaries, director-level doers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
Cooke has served as editor-in-chief of Credit Union Times since January 2008 and as editor/publisher since August 2012. Prior to that, Cooke covered the Washington, D.C. news beat for Credit Union Times starting in 2000. Before joining the Times' staff, she wrote for the Credit Union Regulatory Insider newsletter for one year.
In addition to Cooke, other leaders who made the 2015 list of Top Women in Media includes Hearst Magazine's Ellen Levine, TIME Magazine's Meredith Long, New South Media's Nikki Bowman, Informa Exhibitions' Heather Granato, 1105 Media's Carmel McDonagh, and Entrepreneur Magazine's Lauren Covello.
This year's Top Women in Media honorees will be recognized on June 8 at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.
