The NCUA released the agenda for the agency's Feb. 19 board meeting earlier than expected.
Typically, agendas are released a week prior to the meeting. The agency's spokesperson did not respond when asked why the agenda was released on Monday.
The Feb. 19 meeting will be the first to appear online via a video livestream.
The first item on the agenda is a proposed interpretive ruling and policy statement as well as a proposed rule on the definition of small entity for consideration of regulatory relief in the Regulatory Flexibility Act.
The proposed rule relates to part 791.8(a) of the NCUA's rules and regulations, which contains procedures the agency follows when developing regulations.
NCUA Public Affairs Specialist John Fairbanks said the proposed rule is not related to legislation recently passed by the House that expands the rules covered by the Regulatory Flexibility Act.
The board will also consider a request to expand a community charter from the $135.5 million Taunton Federal Credit Union in Taunton, Mass.
In addition, the NCUA Share Insurance Fund quarterly report will be presented at the meeting.
