The League of Southeastern Credit Unions and Affiliates said it will launch a new website this spring through a new partnership announced last week with the Northwest Credit Union Association.

The collaborative agreement will allow the League of Southeastern Credit Unions to license the framework and functionality of NWCUA's website with the Florida and Alabama league's brand look and feel.

Patrick La Pine, president/CEO of the Florida and Alabama league, believed the Northwest Credit Union Association created a unique experience for website users.

“Every time we talked about ways to engage our website visitors, we kept coming back to how the NWCUA website does it,” La Pine said in a prepared statement. “It makes sense to partner with the NWCUA.”

The new website is expected to inform visitors in the core areas of governmental affairs, education, cooperative initiatives, and communications. Video and social media will have a greater presence on the new website to help enhance the user's experience and promote the sharing of information, the Florida and Alabama league said.

Through the partnership, the League of Southeastern Credit Union's new website will have access to what it described as “innovative and dynamic engagement tools that are unique to associations.”

Lynn Heider, vice president of public relations and communications for the Northwest Credit Union Association, said its website provides Washington and Oregon credit union members a tour of resources available, helping them to quickly find business partners and information about advocacy, compliance, professional development, foundation and philanthropic support and community impact.

Additionally, the partnership will give LEVERAGE, an affiliate of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions, an updated website that is expected to make it easier for users to find products and services.
