The NCUA has scheduled a webinar on the agency's revised risk-based capital proposed for Jan. 21.

Larry Fazio, director of the NCUA's Office of Examination and Insurance, will host the webinar, which will cover the differences between the new and original proposed rule.

Participants can send questions in advance to [email protected] with the subject, “Risk-Based Capital.”

The Jan. 21 RBC webinar will take place at 2 p.m. ET.

The revised risk-based capital proposal will be introduced at the NCUA's Jan. 15 meeting.

NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz said the industry should expect to see very significant changes in the revised proposal, which will have a 90-day comment period.

NCUA Board Member Rick Metsger said no one should be surprised by the content of the revised RBC proposal.

“No one who has followed this issue when the proposal is issued will see anything that is surprising to them. It will be issues that they have commented on over and over again, and they will certainly see the results of some of the thoughtful comments, which will embedded in the proposal,” Metsger said.
