Daniel P. Berry was appointed president/CEO of the $113 million Duke University Federal Credit Union.

He replaced Lee Fogle who retired in December after nearly serving 18 years as president/CEO for the Durham, N.C.-based cooperative, according to a prepared statement.

Berry joined Duke University FCU as CFO in 2001. He also served as the credit union's COO since 2002.

“Dan exemplifies excellence in credit union leadership,” Mimi O'Brien, Duke University FCU board chair, said in a prepared statement. “He has the right combination of skills and experiences to ensure a strong future for the Duke Credit Union, and the Board is delighted to have him at the helm.”

Duke University FCU serves more than 15,000 members.
