For credit unions seeking to assess whether wellness programs make good business sense, the CUNA HR/TD Council announced the publication this week of a white paper examining credit union wellness programs from the ground up.
"A Deeper Dive Into Wellness Programs: Are They the Solutions They Were Intended to Be?" explored the bottom-line effects of employee health initiatives in 2014 and the factors driving those results, the council said.
Topic included the Affordable Care Act, health care costs, measuring metrics and increasing employee participation in wellness programs.
The new paper, which also featured numerous case studies of specific credit union wellness initiatives, is a follow-up to the 2012 CUNA HR/TD Council publication, "Credit Union Wellness Programs: Good Health Is Good Business."
Several contributors from the 2012 paper and numerous credit union staff in charge of wellness initiatives assisted with the latest report, the council said.
