The Chartway family of credit unions had a good time giving away treats to courageous, costumed heroes across the country this Halloween season.
At the Chartway Federal Credit Union corporate headquarters in Virginia Beach, Va., staffers decorated their departments to spook up some fun for children battling life-threatening illnesses. Twenty of the foundation's beneficiaries had the opportunity to stop by each department to receive candy from the employees who worked to raise money to make their dreams come true.
In Utah, HeritageWest and SouthWest Community Credit Unions – divisions of Chartway Federal Credit Union – participated in the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Utah's Spooktacular Halloween Event.
Credit union employees gave away goodie bags and prizes to deliver the spirit of the holiday to children and their families.
Chartway Federal Credit Union's We Promise Foundation has been dedicated to making dreams come true for children battling life-threatening illnesses and has hosted more than a dozen fundraising events annually. The We Promise Foundation has donated $750,000 to make wishes come true for the state's chapter. Since 1999, the credit union and its We Promise Foundation have raised nearly $7 million to bring smiles to the faces of courageous children.
