Eileen Lewis, president/CEO of the $349 million Alliance Credit Union, will retire in December after 39 years of service.
She will be succeeded on Jan. 1, 2015 by Brian Dorcy, Alliance CU's EVP/CFO, the San Jose, Calif.-based cooperative said Wednesday.
Lewis started working at the credit union in 1975 as a teller. She then earned promotions holding several management and executive positions before becoming the CEO in 2002.

Under her leadership, Alliance CU achieved many milestones and introduced products and services ranging from the first checking accounts to mobile banking, according to the credit union.
Dorcy has more than 30 years of financial experience including 23 years of executive leadership in the credit union industry.
He was hired as the EVP/CFO at Alliance CU in 2010.
"Brian Dorcy has the full confidence of the Alliance board of directors in moving the credit union forward, with continued dedication to developing products and services to meet the membership's evolving needs," Surya Turaga, board chair, said in a prepared statement.
Chartered in 1952, Alliance CU serves more than 37,000 members in California and North Carolina.
