The National Credit Union Foundation in Madison, Wis., said it is currently seeking nominations for three board seats. Nominations are being accepted for credit union executive or director, system affiliates and at-large seats.
Applications must be received by Oct. 31.
Credit union executives or directors can apply for a seat currently held by Laida Garcia, president/CEO of the $395 million floridacentral Credit Union in Tampa, Fla. Garcia is completing her second three-year term on the NCUF board and has expressed interest in serving another term, the organization said.
Candidates representing organizations outside the credit union system, such as a cooperative that has demonstrated a commitment to NCUF's mission, are being sought for a seat being vacated by John Gregoire, president of The Pro-Con Group, a Middleton, Wis.-based consulting firm. Gregoire is completing his final three-year term in the at-large seat. He is not eligible to serve another term.
The foundation is also searching for candidates for a vacant seat that can be filled by a credit union executive or director, system affiliates or at-large candidates.
Each volunteer NCUF board member can serve up to three terms of three years each, if they are re-nominated by the NCUF Nominations Committee and re-elected by the NCUF board.
Qualified candidates can apply on the NCUF.coop website by clicking “Volunteer for our Board” and completing the “Declaration of Candidacy” document.
