Nashville, Tenn.-based Volunteer Corporate Credit Union has announced the election of a new board of directors.

Newly elected to the $1.4 billion corporate's board were Gayle Hamilton, CEO of Brown-Forman Employees Credit Union, an $11 million institution in Louisville, Ky., and Sandy Lingerfelt, CEO of the $76 million Clinchfield Federal Credit Union in Erwin, Tenn.

Todd Swims, CEO of the $226 million Leaders Credit Union in Jackson, Tenn., was re-elected to the board.

VolCorp merged the $153 million Kentucky Corporate FCU earlier this year and has more than 400 members.

Elected VolCorp officers include Chairman John Jacoway, CEO of the $453 million Southeast Financial Credit Union in Franklin, Tenn.; Vice Chairman Chris Johnson, CEO of the $1.5 billion ORNL Federal Credit Union in Oak Ridge, Tenn.; Secretary Bonnie Sensing, CEO of the $20 million Nashville Firemen's Credit Union in Nashville, Tenn.; and Treasurer Ken Swann, CEO of the $238 million Memphis City Employees Credit Union in Memphis, Tenn.

Other board members include Sandra Yocum, CEO of the $44 million Strip Steel Community Federal Credit Union in Weirton, W.Va., and Rick Mikels, CEO of the $15 million ETMA Federal Credit Union in Louisville, Tenn.

Board members are elected to serve three-year terms.

The election took place during VolCorp's Aug. 21st annual meeting. About 80 attended, said Sandy Swofford, a senior vice president at VolCorp.
