The NCUA issued one prohibition order July 31, bringing the total to 31 in 2014.

Banned from participating in the affairs of any federally insured financial institution was Melissa Rae Rosing, a former employee of the $14.8 million Southwest Communities Federal Credit Union in Carnegie, Penn.

Rosing was sentenced in April 2013 to five years of probation after pleading guilty in Pennsylvania court to 14 federal charges of theft, theft by deception, forgery, receiving stolen property and bad checks, the NCUA said.

She was ordered to pay restitution of $25,046.50, the agency said.

If Rosing violates the NCUA prohibition order, she faces another felony charge, prison time and a fine of up to $1 million.
