Brenda Turner has retired after 22 years as president/CEO of the $215 million Arlington Community Federal Credit Union in Falls Church, Va.

Karen Rosales, COO since 2010, is serving as interim CEO while the board of directors searches for a permanent successor, ACFCU said in its announcement on Wednesday.

Turner became CEO of the then-$20 million Arlington County Employees Credit Union in 1992 and led it through a merger with Arlington Schools Federal Credit Union in 1996, becoming Arlington Virginia Federal Credit Union. The credit union later converted to a community charter in 2005. ACFCU then built a new headquarters in 2009 and adopted its current name.
