The $5.4 billion Bethpage Federal Credit Union is making it possible for more than 70 music students from a Long Island high school to attend summer music programs at the Usdan Center for the Creative & Performing Arts in Huntington, N.Y. The grants will help pay for such necessities as supplies, transportation, tutors and performance clothes for the students of underserved families who may not otherwise be able to participate. The grants are a first from the Long Island credit union and are an extension to the existing Usdan/Bethpage Scholar in the Arts program that has been in existence since 2011.
