A tablet app designed to help investment advisers serve consumers with their retirement planning has won the Technology Innovation Award from the Bank Insurance & Securities Association, CUNA Mutual Group said Monday.
The ZONE app is used by investment advisers, including from CUNA Brokerage Services Inc., to present investment options for CUNA Mutual Group's new registered index annuity, MEMBERS Zone Annuity, the company said.
Nine recipients were chosen for the honor this year, given in recognition of commitment to advancements in technology-based solutions for the industry, CUNA Mutual said.

The ZONE app was launched last August and is built around easy-to-understand terms and engaging visuals, the company said.
Optimized for iPads, it allows advisers and customers to customize a zone of risk and reward aligned with their investment goals using the MEMBERS Zone Annuity product, CUNA Mutual said.
