The $167 million Riverfront Federal Credit Union in Reading, Pa., said Monday it has hired Tim D. McLeod as its new president/CEO.
McLeod had been chief operating officer of the $191 million Singing River Federal Credit Union in Moss Point, Miss., and prior to that had been a district examiner for the NCUA. He also is a veteran who had served in the U.S. Army Finance and Accounting Regiment, his new employer said.
“We believe we found the right person in Tim to take Riverfront to the next level,” said John Kline, board chairman for the 20,000-member credit union. “We chose him because his experience and expertise align with our goals. We are confident that he will lead us forward.”
McLeod succeeds Vincent Paolini, who retired as CEO/president in January after serving Riverfront in various capacities for 19 years, the credit union said in its announcement.
Riverfront was founded in 1948 as RDG Reading Federal Credit Union serving Reading Railroad employees. It now is community chartered and serves all of Berks County with administrative offices in Wyomissing and branches in Reading, Shillington and Bern Township.
